Mobilization and modification work carried out directly at the dock at Vestbase in Kristiansund for the advanced subsea construction vessel North Sea Giant. The project involved parallel production in the workshop and time-critical assembly work on board to meet the vessel’s tight time window before departure.
Thanks to the workshop’s proximity to the pier at Vestbase, our mobile teams were able to work directly on the ship’s deck while the steel structures were prefabricated in parallel in the halls. By combining certified sea-fastening with rapid production of custom-designed access towers, the vessel’s laytime was reduced to a minimum.
