Since 1994, IRV AS has been supplying steel structures and mechanical components of all sizes to demanding industries. We manufacture everything from small precision components to heavy systems weighing over 50 metric tons. Our workshop in Kristiansund regularly supplies offshore platforms, drilling rigs, onshore processing plants, as well as fish processing facilities and power plants.

Custom-designed steel structures, skids, and frames
We manufacture everything from machine foundations, skids, and walkways to advanced subsea structures and certified lifting equipment. Thanks to the large crane capacity in our production halls and our immediate proximity to the deep-water quay at Vestbase, we can efficiently assemble and safely load even the most space-consuming and heavy steel modules directly onto ships.
Materials, Standards, and Workshop Capacity
We manage the entire production chain, from material selection and welding to subsequent heat treatment, surface treatment, and final inspection. This enables us to maintain strict tolerances and meet stringent documentation requirements.
Welding and Manufacturing in Accordance with Industry Standards
We have the qualifications and welding procedures necessary to build in accordance with leading industry standards, including NORSOK M-101, DNV-OS-C401, and TR 1826. This encompasses everything from simple carbon steel structures to advanced subsea equipment.
Broad expertise in materials
Our certified welders work with a variety of material grades based on the project's requirements. We have separate areas and procedures for manufacturing carbon steel, alloy steel, and aluminum.
Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment
To ensure that steel structures have the proper mechanical properties and corrosion protection in harsh environments, we provide both stress-relief heat treatment (PWHT) and industrial painting/surface treatment as part of our service.
Integrated Weld Inspection and Quality Documentation
With our own inspection workshop and a permanent X-ray facility on site, we perform dimensional checks and comprehensive NDT testing throughout the production process. You will receive complete final documentation (LCI) confirming that all requirements have been met.
